With over 22 years of experience, Angel Passailaigue Postell has a wide array of experience and knowledge in public relations, marketing, and special event planning. Her specialty is travel and tourism and food and beverage industries, two unique niches promoting the hospitality industry, including hotels, retailers, attractions, destinations, restaurants, and more. Past positions include serving on the host committee for World Cup Soccer in 1995, serving as Communications Manager of the Jacksonville Convention & Visitors Bureau as well as the Charleston Convention & Visitors Bureau and then serving as Public Relations Manager of the South Carolina Aquarium. She opened her own Public Relations firm in Jacksonville and then in Charleston.
She formed and served as volunteer chair of the planning committee of the Charleston Wine + Food Festival for several years while planning the event and went on to be hired to serve as Founding Executive Director for eight years. In 2013, Postell decided to retire from the festival and re-open her firm, Home Team Public Relations.
Soon after re-opening her firm, she began an events division--Home Team Events, and has dipped her toes back into the events world. She along with an Advisory Council of some of the best in the industry, has started to plan BevCon, an industry only event that celebrates all things beverages. It is gearing up to be her best event yet!
A proud graduate of the University of Central Florida, Postell received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a special focus in Advertising/Public Relations. She passed the Examinations for Accreditation in Public Relations in 2005 and is Accredited by the Universal Accreditation Board for the internationally recognized accreditation program for Public Relations professionals, APR.
